Abstract

This research study aimed to assess the coverage of child labor exploitation in Pakistan's leading print media and the public's understanding of the issue. Quantitative content analysis was used for data collection, providing descriptive answers to research questions. Purposive sampling was employed to examine content from The Daily Jasarat (Urdu) and Daily Express Tribune (English) on the first, last, and city pages in the Karachi region from October 1st, 2021, to December 31st, 2022. The analysis revealed that the topic received limited attention, with Urdu newspapers featuring more news on child labor compared to English publications.
