Abstract

This paper narrates the historical development of cultural theory while traversing through societies in the Western hemisphere. In brief, cultural theory ponders cultural, ideological, communication, and media-focused narratives affecting intricate human relationships where power structures, for instance, with their strengths and imbalances, mirror discourse that will emancipate individuals and create balance in society. The process of cultural amelioration instigates a deep understanding of ideological structures and symbolisms forming meaningful connections. With societies rising through the passage of time, cultural theory will also embrace a complex understanding of the human condition.
